Sponsor a Food Garden!
We are teaching permaculture and planting food gardens in South African schools in 2022.
Our goal is 52 food gardens in 2022 - that's one for every week of the year!
Your sponsorship can create more meaning than you could ever imagine possible!
What You Will Receive for your Sponsorship!
This is a social venture and as such it's not just about "giving"- we aim to "give back" more than "feeling good" for "doing good."
For each full sponsorship you / your company will receive the following marketing and advertising activities:
1. Invoice (for expensing)
This is a social venture, as such we can provide your business (or you) with an invoice for your sponsorship, which you can then expense as recommended by your tax advisor.
2. Sponsorship Attribution
Your name or business name will be listed on our sponsorship list and page on this site! For the life of this website, your backlink and attribution will remain. See our list here.
3. Social Media Shout Outs!
We love highlighting our sponsors. We will mention you on our social accounts. We will be in touch with sponsors to confirm your social @handles and any information we need.
4. Sponsor Blog Post
We will publish a blog post crediting the sponsor of each garden and whenever possible include photos from "Planting Day" (Blogs published within 30 days of garden planting).
What You're Sponsoring for a School in South Africa!
For each full sponsorship each school will receive:
The Permaculture Class & Hands on Demo
Teach a group of students permaculture principles and methods.
The Garden
Install the food garden with the students themselves. The class and demo are given live in the garden.
Mulch, Mulch, Mulch
Bring a truck load of mulch to each school for the building and protection of the soil, into which we plant!
500+ Seedlings
Bring a variety of over 500 vegetable and herb seedlings, edible flowers and companion plants to seed diversity of life.
Seeds, seeds and more seeds!
Take numerous bags of crop seeds that are planted between the vegetable seedlings, herbs and edible flowers.
Comfrey Roots
We make sure each garden grows comfrey so they can also make their own natural fertilizer.
R5900 ($395) will sponsor a full Growing Hope food garden (with all the goodies mentioned above) and an educational permaculture class in an under resourced school in South Africa.
R8900 ($595) will sponsor a full Growing Hope food garden and educational permaculture class in a school PLUS a follow up visit and second season planting + growth photos.
Any amount is accepted. If the amount sent is not a Full Sponsorship, we will put it towards a need at the time.
If you have ability and willingness to contribute a larger amount, we would love to discussion our greater vision. Please be in touch!
We are regenerating the soil with this project. Building soil and taking climate action.
We are also empowering children and schools to know how to grow their own food and how to rebuild severely damaged soil, even when top soil is missing.
Mission 2022 is part of a multi-year vision and each year will build upon the previous years mission!
