We all know the saying, ‘you reap what you sow’. That being said, we truly will never reap the fruits of a harvest, if we do not invest and plant the seeds today.
Growing Hope has had the opportunity to visit a few impoverished South African schools and has witnessed how a few seeds planted by teachers and their students have caused once barren soil to sprout up with a great harvest.
We believe that teaching children the importance of growing food gardens while they are young will provide them with better nutrition, reduce the use of pesticides on the land and develop a connection with nature, which will encourage them to plant more and enjoy the harvest.
