      Growing Hope: Mission 2022

To plant a food garden in a South African School a week!

      · Mission 2022,Blog

In 2022, GROWING HOPE's mission is to seed a food garden every week in rural areas of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa! That is 52 food gardens, and we can't do it without your support!

We are seeking 52 sponsors, who believe in this mission and want to support the GROWING HOPE movement.

While nature and thriving gardens takes time, in 2022 we aim to create the foundation of these 52 food gardens. Building and rejevenating the soil is a vital step in any permaculture endeavor. Egologist will confirm that on land, the soil is the key to health of ecosystems! This is where we will begin our Growing Hip journey as well - with the soil!

In 2023 and 2024 (or sooner if more funding becomes available), we will work with these schools to continue to expand and develop the initial gardens into flourishing food gardens not only for consumption but also as potential entrepreneurial activities to improve their access to resources.

We are looking for corporate and business sponsors and community projects, groups, families, and organizations that understand the importance of this peacebuilding project and who wish to support this mission.

You can learn how you can contribute and sponsor a food garden (and what you and the schools will receive) here.
