We started off this year with an audacious goal for Growing Hope - to initiate 52 permaculture-inspired food gardens in 52 schools in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa in 2022.

Today, we celebrate the sponsorship of #22.

We're celebrating that even though we didn't hit our goal (yet), we persevered through many unexpected challenges this year.

One was the worst flood in 100 years destroying entire communities, significant infrastructure and roads and devastating 1000s of homes and 100's lost their lives.

While we have persevered through so many setbacks, struggles, and growing pains this year, we have received so much support, encouragement joy and appreciation. We're so grateful to our sponsors for making this happen!

On their behalf, we've also been able to share permaculture wisdom, seeds, laughter and love with hundreds of humans this year, and we've added thousands of seedlings and hundreds of thousands of seeds to the soil we have worked with.

Regeneration is the way.

Nature is such a teacher, if we will just patiently, humbly look and listen.
