Week 12 - Growing Hope Garden

Sponsored by Anne Laure and the Embodied Leaders for Sustainability

April 27, 2022

“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” — Helen Keller

We begin every class with a lesson about building soil and the importance of mulching. One of our big focuses with our school project and Mission 2022 is soil regeneration. Regenerative practices are important for a number of reasons: Carbon sequestration; reducing the impact climate change; preserving and improving top soil, less erosion and slowing down or stopping desertification.

Healthy soil = Health Plants = Healthy People = Healthier Planet.

It's all connected. Soil is a living thing. Earth is a living organism. If she's dying, so are we. We need to stop killing the soil, the planet and ourselves with our collective agricultural practices. This is one of the goals of Growing Hope as we improve he soil, and teach the kids how to do that. ration

We are so greatful for our sponsors.

Thank you to Anne-Laure and the Embodied Leaders for Sustainability cohort Spring 2022: a group empowering women to lead fully with their beautiful minds, souls and bodies for better selves, organizations and the World (USA/France).
